Too Educated to Fall For a Scam?

When people hear the horror stories of others falling prey to scam artists, their immediate reaction is almost always “that would never happen to me.”

Perhaps that’s true; but reality is showing that as our parents age, more and more of those with mild dementia are susceptible to these scams.  It may start out small with a minimal donation to a charity or response to a sweepstakes letter in the mail, but these small decisions could lead to financial ruin.
