Wandering with Alzheimer’s

Wandering is a nationwide problem for people living with Alzheimer’s and/or dementia.  Family members constantly worry about how to handle this issue, which oftentimes threatens the safety of their loved ones.  Yes, it most certainly is an issue and a cause for concern; however, there are organizations and associations that are developing across the nation to implement safety measures to protect against such wandering.  Also, hopefully family members will find some measure of comfort in understanding that their loved one may benefit from some sort of supervised wandering, which may actually be therapeutic.
