Facing Mom’s Money & Alzheimer’s

Statistics show that more women than men in the United States have Alzheimer’s disease or some other form of dementia:
• Almost two-thirds (2/3) of all Americans living with Alzheimer’s are women
• 3.4 million women age 65 and older have Alzheimer’s, as compared to 1.8 million men of similar age
• 16 percent (16%) of women age 71 and older have some form of dementia, as compared to 11 percent (11%) of men of similar age

With statistics like these, along with those suggesting that women tend to live longer than men, are you ensuring your mom is properly managing her financial affairs?
