Sandwich Generation Continues to Grow

Those people who find themselves caring for sick and/or elderly relatives continue to increase.

According to the Pew Research Center, four out of ten adults are now caring for a sick or elderly family member.  Although these increasing numbers can be attributed to medical advances which increase the life expectancy of our population, they can also be attributed to the slowing U.S. economy and people’s depleted savings necessitating the provision of caretaking services by family members out of love and affection.
